We would like to thank Johnny & Margaret their ongoing generosity & support of our club ! Time after time, year in year out, Gilsenan’s have come forward to financially supported the club in every fundraiser we run. This kind of support over the years never goes unappreciated by us here in Drumree GAA.
Gilsenan’s is much much more than just another pub for many people. It is a hugely important local social outlet and in many ways it operates as our unofficial clubhouse, where you will always find someone from the club to chat to about the latest talking points in the GAA world, both at club level & national level. It is also the base of our weekly club lotto draw where every Sunday night Johnny “spins the balls” as the results are announced.
The role Gilsenan’s Bar & Lounge plays in our community should never be underestimated as it’s where so many of us meet up & stay in touch with people of all ages in the parish & it says a lot that when those who are living abroad return home it is often one of the first ports of call to check in on what has been happening in the area !
